Even with the limited palette, this looks really colourful and has clear graphics. The courses are large and varied and provide a real challenge.The actual control method involving swing and power has become something of a standard, making it easy to pick up but challenging. After the first shot, the view is a little more primitive and sound effects are few and far between.
Only three years after the first, BASIC attempts at simulation, it is a vast improvement and much more entertaining.
